Monica's interest in photography was sparked by a study abroad stint in Bordeaux, France. 5 years later, it had become a way to relive and convey to others the whirl of a trip through colors, cultural quirks, food, architecture, and landscape. After having returned from a trip to Iceland during which she was privileged to capture some of the most majestic scenery in the world, she started wondering how she could both grow as well as incorporate photography further into her life. Since photographing people and events remained unexplored terrain (and because she knew that there was ample work here), she threw herself into this new adventure by getting involved with portraits and weddings. She began to apply what she learned about capturing the charm of an exotic destination to that of a couple and their big day. This, coupled with a strong sense of design born of a lifelong love of art, helped her to hone in on a style that blurred the lines between her wedding and travel work.
Using design, storytelling, and a tailored client approach, she hopes to capture the colors, quirks, romance, and emotional landscape for engaged couples who share her vision.
